Weight Control

For those who suffer from a weight problem, being told that the key to achieving your ideal weight is to eat a healthy, balanced diet and take regular exercise can be  a red rag to a bull. Following these easily stated guidelines can be an elusive task and a nightmare. Failure to lose weight can often lead to despair, causing you to seek comfort from further overeating, leading to more weight gain and more despair. It becomes a vicious, depressing circle that cannot be broken.

Dieting just does not work!

Diets have been proven to provide only a short term solution because your subconscious mind likes consistency. It will ensure that you ultimately return to your normal eating patterns, the weight piles on again and so the cycle continues.

The simple fact is, someone who has a weight problem has programmed their subconscious to eat in a particular way that has nothing to do with experiencing normal eating satisfaction.

When someone with normal eating habits gets hungry, their subconscious sends a message indicating that fact. When that hunger has been satisfied, the subconscious sends a feeling of satisfaction and so the person no longer feels the urge to eat.  If that feeling of satisfaction is overridden and eating continues, it is because of the subconscious’ need for extra satisfaction.

Emotional eating – the real cause!

This extra satisfaction is an emotional comfort or protection, either to compensate for something that is missing from their life, or an unhappy experience at the time they first developed weight control problems. By eating emotionally, our bodies will never feel satisfied because no amount of food is going to change the way we feel. Whatever the cause of this need for extra subconscious satisfaction, the solution is to change long established,  emotional eating behavioural patterns.

You can be the weight you wish to be!

To change the behaviour pattern, I will identify the source of the problem at a subconscious level, and then persuade the subconscious that the current overeating habits serve no useful purpose. The subconscious can then transfer the satisfaction currently derived from overeating onto something that is more advantageous, installing some new, more helpful eating habits  and a new, healthier, happier lifestyle will become the norm.

I can  help you to permanently change your eating habits, enabling you to effortlessly lose weight, stay in control and feel so much more confident within yourself.   Contact me now to arrange a free, initial consultation.
